Cotton Honey
Available now
Our cotton honey is produced from the blossoms of cotton fields across eastern North Carolina. The flowers open white and gradually turn pink as they mature, but the nectar the bees gather from them produces a naturally dark, richly colored honey.
With its smooth texture and robust flavor, cotton honey is especially well suited for cooking and baking. It adds depth and natural sweetness to dishes like chicken salad, salad dressings, marinades, breads, cakes, and cookies.
This honey tends to crystallize more quickly than many of our other varieties, often developing a firm, grainy texture similar to fine sugar. That's a completely natural process and doesn't affect the honey's quality—simply warm the container in warm water to bring it back to a liquid state.
