My bees produce this amber honey from the poplar, locust, holly, blackberry, and clover blossoms in the piedmont region of North Carolina throughout April, May, and June. The hives are placed along the Eno River and other creeks where plant life is abundant. This honey is dark because it has a higher mineral content than the other types of honey. Many people claim that taking local honey has helped reduce their allergies.
